Vicente Fidel Lopez
Vicente Fidel Lopez was an Argentine historian, lawyer and politician. He was a son of writer and politician Vicente Lopez y Planes.
From 1840 to 1852 he stayed in Chile, as he opposed the dictatoric reqime of Juan Manuel de Rosas. During his exile, he worked with Domingo Faustino Sarmiento.
After his return to Argentina he worked with Justo Jose de Urquiza, but had to go into exile again after Urquiza's loss of power. Between 1876 and 1879 he was a national deputy, and minister of economy in 1891 under presidency of Carlos Pellegrini
