LAN Peru
LAN Peru is an airline based in Lima, Peru. It is a subsidiary of LAN Airlines and operates scheduled domestic and international services. Its main base is Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima.
History
The airline was established in July 1998 and began operations on July 2, 1999 with domestic services from Jorge Chavez International Airport to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, Cusco and Rodriguez Ballon International Airport, Arequipa. The launch of LAN Peru marked the reappearance of a major national airline in Peru after the demise of AeroPeru, Faucett Peru and others. An international service to Miami International Airport was added on November 15 1999. It became a subsidiary of LAN in September 2002. It is owned by LAN Airlines (49%), ER Larrain (30%) and Inversiones Aereas (21%) and has 1,500 employees (at March 2007).

Fleet
LAN Peru operates aircraft from LAN's fleet with Chilean registration for both domestic and international flights. The aircraft currently used by LAN Peru are Airbus A319 and Boeing 767-300ER. Previously operated aircraft include the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737-200, which were registered in Bermuda and flew the Peruvian flag.
