LAN Argentina


LAN Argentina is an airline based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is an affiliate of LAN Airlines and operates scheduled domestic services from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, Cordoba, Comodoro Rivadavia, El Calafate, Mendoza, Puerto Iguazu, Neuquen, Rio Gallegos, Salta, San Juan, Tucuman and Ushuaia, and international services to Lima, Miami, Punta Cana, Santiago and Sao Paulo. It also has an international service to Lima from Cordoba. Its main bases are Jorge Newbery Airport and Ministro Pistarini International Airport, both located in Buenos Aires.

History

Prior to its acquisition by LAN Airlines of Chile, the airline was known by its legal name, Aero 2000. LAN Argentina became an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance on April 1, 2007. The airline is owned by LAN Airlines (49%) and Argentine investors (51%).

Destinations

LAN Argentina: Launched passenger and cargo services in June 2005. Today it operates from Buenos Aires to Cordoba, Mendoza, Salta, Neuquen, San Juan, Iguazu, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia and Rio Gallegos. It recently added flights to El Calafate, Ushuaia and Tucuman. It also operates daily from Buenos Aires to Miami, Lima and Santiago de Chile. The non-stop flight to Sao Paulo is operated from Monday to Saturday, and the flight to Punta Cana operates only on Sundays.
