Mariano Gonzalez

Mariano Nicolas Gonzalez is an Argentine footballer who plays for F.C. Porto.

Gonzalez started his career at Racing Club de Avellaneda, arriving at 17 from neighbouring Club Atletico Independiente; he made his professional debuts at 21, under legendary Osvaldo Ardiles, and went on to appear in 64 first division match, notably scoring the 43 winner over Boca Juniors.

In 2004, Gonzalez left for Italy, signing with U.S. Citta di Palermo, going on to feature regularly during two seasons, especially the second.
