Matias Jesus Almeyda (born 21 December 1973 in Azul) is an Argentine football player, who plays for River Plate.
In summer 2002, Almeyda was exchanged with Vratislav Gresko.
Almeyda joined Brescia on free transfer in summer 2004. The following year, he returned to Argentina and agreed to play for Quilmes in Copa Libertadores. He announced his retirement after the team's elimination from that tournament.
