Gregorio Araoz de Lamadrid
Comandante General Gregorio Araoz de Lamadrid was an Argentine Military leader and veteran of the Argentine War of Independence.
Lamadrid fought alongside General Belgrano and General San Martin in the Argentine War of Independence. In later years he fought alongside General Paz in the Battles of La Tablada, San Roque and Oncativo.
Lamadrid is buried in the Cathedral de San Miguel de Tucuman.

The football club Club Atletico General Lamadrid of the metropolitan 4th division are named in his honour.
