Villa Tehuelches

Villa Tehuelches is a village located in the province of Laguna Blanca in the region of Magallanes, with 151 inhabitants. In the territory dominates the Magellanic Pampa, suitable for livestock, it develops the breeding of sheep.


The municipality was created on 30 December 1927 with the name of Morro Chico, renaming reformulation of borders, of agreement, Decree No. 2868, 26.10.1979.

Its northern border of Argentina (Province of Santa Cruz), by latitude 52 S. The west by the Province of Ultima Esperanza (Commune Natales). The east by the Municipality of San Gregorio. Southwest with the community of Rio Verde. And on the south by the town of Punta Arenas.

Community activities

Offers educational services, which is taught in school, "Diego Portales", whose director is Guillermo Borquez Doering, who also administers the internship for students coming from different sectors, both of Laguna Blanca as other municipalities and provinces
