Jose Bernardo de Tagle, marques de Torre Tagle was a Peruvian soldier and politician, occupying the Peruvian presidency from 1823 to 1824.

On his return to Peru he was named Governor of Trujillo, and proclaimed the independency of the city on the arrival of Jose de San Martin.

He briefly assumed the Presidency for the first time on February of 1823, and again on July of the same year. When Jose de la Riva Aguero left the presidency, Sucre briefly took over the position until Torre Tagle was named President. Torre Tagle remained in charge until the arrival of Simon Bolivar on February of 1824.
