Cristian Osvaldo Alvarez
Cristian Osvaldo Alvarez (born 9 January 1978 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer currently playing with Arsenal de Sarandi, mainly as a defender.
Alvarez began his career at Club Atletico Lanus in the Primera Division Argentina in 1998. He also had a short spell with Arsenal de Sarandi before moving to play in Spain with Racing de Santander, where he would play three seasons with average impact, with a six-month loan stint with second division side Cordoba CF in between.
After another loan in the second division (with CD Tenerife), Alvarez returned to Santander and, in 2007-08, signed permanently with Cordoba for two seasons. In his first season, the Andalusia team would barely maintain its division status.
