Guillermo Saavedra
Guillermo Anibal Saavedra, born October 7 1960, is an Argentine poet, editor and journalist.
One of the most important Argentine poets of his generation, Saavedra has published the books Caracol , Tentativas sobre Cage and El velador . He also authored the poetry books for children Pancitas argentinas and Cenicienta no escarmienta ; a book with his interviews with Argentine writers: La curiosidad impertinente ; and the anthologies: Cuentos de historia argentina , La pena del aire , Cuentos escogidos de Andres Rivera , Mi cuento favorito , Cuentos de escritoras argentinas , and four anthologies included in the series Vamos a leer published by the Argentine Secretary of Culture (2001). In 2001, he was awarded the Guggenheim grant.
