Cristian Andres Alvarez is a Chilean football defender, who currently plays for Beitar Jerusalem on a 1 year long loan from Universidad Catolica. he joined Universidad Catolica after being transferred from River Plate during the 2007 transfer window.
He started his pro career in Universidad Catolica in 1999 against O'Higgins. His first match with River Plate was on the August 7 2005 in the 2-0 victory against Tiro Federal. His position is right fullback.
