Jaime Andres Valdes Zapata is a Chilean football (soccer) midfielder, who currently plays for Serie A club Atalanta.
In January 2005 he and Valeri Bojinov were transferred to Fiorentina. He played his first league game against Chievo. In the 2005-2006 season, Valdes played for the second consecutive year in the Serie A, collecting a resounding 26 goals. Nell'annata 2006-2007 management spoke of Jaime's technical and tactical skills, concluding that he was an indispensable player in the team. By the end of the tournament he had scored 8 goals, some of which were extremely valuable. In the 2008-2009 championship he joined the ranks of Atalanta.
