Jorge Valdivia

Jorge Luis Valdivia Toro is a Chilean football player, who currently plays for Al-Ain FC as an attacking midfielder.

Valdivia started his career in the youth academy of Colo-Colo, Chile; since he didn't have many opportunities then was loaned (20032005) to Universidad de Concepcion in Chile, Rayo Vallecano in Spain, Servette FC in Switzerland and returned to Colo-Colo in Chile in 2005 where he and the team had a very good year. After winning the 2006 Apertura tournament with Colo-Colo, Valdivia was sold to Palmeiras for a transfer fee of $3.5 million.

On August 15, Goal.com announced that Jorge Valdivia is moving to Al Ain in the UAE league. Al Ain will pay up to 8 million to Palmeiras.
