Alex Von Schwedler

Alex von Schwedler is a Chilean football (soccer) defender of German descent, who is currently unattached.

Von Schwedler began his career at Universidad de Chile and debuted for the club in 1998. He won his first league title during the 1999 season;that same season he was considered one of the pillars of the defense that obtained the 1999-2000 season championship. After two major campaigns with the "U", he left for Europe in 2002.

Von Schwedler joined A.S. Bari, and after a few years at the Italian club, he joined Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. He played for Red Bull until the 2006-2007 season, when he was transferred to the C.S. Maritimo of Portugal. He later joined FC Alki Larnaca in Cyprus. He returned to Portugal where he joined C.F. Os Belenenses for the 2008–09 season.
