Club Atletico Atlas
Club Atletico Atlas is a lower division amateur football (soccer) club from Argentina, made famous by the TV documentary "Atlas, la otra pasion", on Fox Sports en Latinoamerica.
Founded on 7 August 1951, the club moved later from Buenos Aires to the suburb of General Rodriguez. Reputed to be "the worst team in Argentina", they were relegated from the bottom division in 2004, losing their place in the Argentine FA's hierarchy of competitive leagues and with it all their players and facilities.
In 2005, under their charismatic trainer Nestor Retamar, they regained their place in the Primera D. In 2006 they came near to promotion, finishing fifth and falling to Berazategui in the semi-finals of the "reducido" play-offs.
