DIRCOTE


The Counter-Terrorist Directorate is the branch of the National Police of Peru that is responsible for Peru's anti-terrorist law enforcement efforts.

DIRCOTE's Special Intelligence Group (Grupo Especial de Inteligencia or GEIN) was responsible for capturing Shining Path leader Abimael Guzman.
