Copa Colombia 2008
The Copa Colombia 2008 is going to be the 2008 tournament of the Colombian League, it is going to be played between teams from First Division and teams from Second Division. It will start on march 12 2008.
The tournament is being sponsored by Postobon.
The system of play is format as followed:
The tournament system is formated for the first two teams to qualify to the next stage.
Later, between the 12 qualify teams there is going to be direct matches. Six of them getting eliminated, while the remaining teams will look for direct advancement to next round and the best second of the eliminated teams will have the opportunity to play again.
Later, there is going to be matches between the four remaining teams, in which two will qualify for the finals.
The winner will have the opportunity to play in Copa Sudamericana
Regional Phases
This is the system of groups approved for the making of the tournament
Group A
Teams from Caribbean Region of Colombia.
Group B
Teams from Paisa Region.
Group C
Teams from northeastern part of Colombia.
Group D
Teams from Bogota and Villavicencio.
Group E
Teams from Pacific Region of Colombia.
Grupo F
Teams from Central-Western part of the country .
