Wollaston Islands

Wollaston Islands is a group of islands in the extreme south of Chile near Cape Horn. The islands are inside Cabo de Hornos National Park, belonging to the Commune of Cabo de Hornos in Antartica Chilena Province of Magallanes y Antartica Chilena Region.

They belong to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.

The islands were named between 1829 and 1831 by the British naval officer Henry Foster, after the English scientist William Hyde Wollaston. The Yahgan name of the islands was Yachkusin, 'place of islands'.
