He was the mentor of TV programmes Polemica en el barand La noche del Domingo. Sofovich also hosts A la manera de Sofovichand Sin Limite SMS'', broadcast on Canal 9.
During the 1970s and 1980s he directed several picaresque films starred by comedians Alberto Olmedo and Jorge Porcel. Though critically panned, these movies were quite successful in reaching a large audience.
