Club Atletico Temperley
Club Atletico Temperley are a football club from the city of Temperley in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They currently play in Primera B Metropolitana, which is the regionalised third tier of the Argentine Football Association.
History
The club were founded by two brothers in 1912 with the name Club de Football Centenario. They affiliated with AFA in 1917, and in 1921 they changed their name to Club Atletico Temperley.
In 1932 the club merged with Argentino de Banfield, to form a new club named Argentino de Temperley. The union did not last long as the two clubs separated in 1935, with the teams going back to their previous names.
The club have played a total of 7 seasons in the Argentine Primera Division. these seven seasons came in 2 spells, 1975-1977 and 1983-1987.
The club's best ever finish in the top flight came when they reached the semi-finals of the 1983 Metropolitano championship, losing to the eventual champions Estudiantes. Their best ever finish in the Nacional was 8th in 1975.
