Club Atletico Lugano
Club Atletico Lugano are an Argentina football club, from Tapiales in La Matanza Partido in the Buenos Aires Province in Argentina. They currently play in the regionalised 5th level of Argentinian football Primera D Metropolitana.
The club were founded on November 18 1915 by railway workers on the Ferrocarril General Manuel Belgrano. Their original name was Club Compania General Belgrano. They got their affiliation with the AAAF (Argentine Amateur Football Association) in 1924 and competed in the intermediate category. in 1953 they changed their name to Club Atletico General Belgrano de Lugano.
In 1972 they gained their affiliation with the Argentine Football Association and begun competing in Primera D and in 1986 they changed their name to Club Atletico Lugano to better identify of their neighbourhood Villa Lugano.
