Alfredo Carricaberry was an Argentine football (soccer) forward who played most of his career for San Lorenzo in Argentina.

Carricaberry played youth football with Club Floresta in Buenos Aires and then Estudiantil Porteno before joining San Lorenzo in 1919.

He made his debut in the first team on April 25 1920 in a game against Racing Club de Avellaneda. He went on to make 274 appearances for the club scoring 104 goals and winning many trophies.

In 1922 Carricaberry made his debut for the Argentina national football team.

In 1923 Carricaberry scored the winning goal in the Copa del Rio de la Plata, San Lorenzo also won the AAmF championship an achievement they repeated in 1924.

1927 was a particularly successful year for Carricaberry, san Lorenzo won the AFA championship for the first time, and they won the Copa del Rio de la Plata. He played for Argentina in the Copa America 1927 scoring three goals helping them to win the title.

He was a member of the Argentine team that competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics where he received a silver madal after a loss in the final to Uruguay.

After the professionalisation of the game in 1931 Carricaberry joined Club Atletico Huracan. His last international appearance came in 1935 and he finished his playing career with Argentinos Juniors in 1937.
