Hector Franceschi

General Hector Franceschi is a former Venezuelan military commander. He joined the Venezuelan Army in 1947. In December 1965, he finished the course of Command and General Staff, and graduates from School of the Americas. In 1970 he became a general after having succeeded as the only Venezuelan army officer to command two anti-guerrilla Operation Theatres (T.O.3 and T.O.5) in the struggle to defend the government in a country plagued by guerrilla and unrest. He retired in 1977 after founding and successfully directing the Support & Services Commando of the Venezuelan Armed Forces. Francheshi is married and has 10 children.
