Teofilo Cubillas

Teofilo Juan Cubillas Arizaga is a Peruvian former footballer.

A midfielder of notable technique and speed, Cubilas became a member of the Peru national team, whom he helped win the 1975 Copa America and reach the quarter finals stage at the World Cups of 1970 and 1978. He scored 10 overall goals in three World Cups.

Among his individual honours, he was voted "South American Footballer of the Year" in 1972, and in 1999, he was voted 17th best player of the twentieth century in a poll by the IFFHS.
