Jose Guillermo del Solar Alvarez-Calderon is a retired Peruvian footballer, and a current coach.
Del Solar developed at the youth system of Universitario de Deportes, but played his first professional game with Club Deportivo San Agustin after he was loaned by Universitario to continue his development as a player. He won his first Peruvian championship with San Agustin, defeating Alianza Lima in December 1986.
Del Solar's last official club game was a 0-0 draw with traditional rivals Alianza Lima for the Apertura championship on July 7, 2002, playing for his first team, Universitario de Deportes, which won 1-0 in the first game, with 0-0 in Trujillo. He also had overseas stints in Spain , Turkey (two) and Belgium.
