Sofia Mulanovich
Sofia Mulanovich Aljovin is a Peruvian surfer. She is the first Peruvian surfer ever to win an Association of Surfing Professionals World Championship Tour event. She is the first South American to ever win the World Title. Sofia's ethnic roots are Croatian. Peru has a small but influential Croatian population. In 2004, she won three out of the six World Championship Tour events and finished the season as World Champion. Her main sponsor is Roxy.
On July 27th, 2007, Sofia Mulanovich was inducted into the Surfers Hall of Fame during its 10th Anniversary celebrations. She is the first South American to have this honor, having had a major impact on the sport.
