Ramon Gomez Portillo
Ramon Raimundo Gomez Portillo, Poet and Journalist born in Ocana, North of Santander, Colombia (1874-1948). Son of Ramon Gomez Garcia and Anselma Portillo Quintero. Relative of Laureano Gomez Castro a former President of Colombia. He was the first Journalist in Ocana and published "El Escalpelo", a weekly newspaper that dealt with commentaries and critics about the Government and daily events in the town. The first issue of El Escalpelo was publish in January 19, 1933.
