Robert Carmona-Borjas
Robert Carmona-Borjas is a Venezuelan lawyer, academic and writer.. After the 2002 Venezuelan coup d'etat attempt, in which Carmona-Borjas acted as Pedro Carmona's lawyer, helping to draft the Carmona decree, Carmona-Borjas sought political asylum in the United States.. He is known for addressing the issue of governability, the defense of human rights, democracy and the fight against corruption. He lounded the anti-corruption NGO Arcadia Foundation together with Ugandan human rights activist Betty Bigombe.
