Guillermo Moron


Guillermo Moron Montero , is a Venezuelan writer and historian. In 1954 obtained a degree in philosophy at the Central University of Madrid, in his return to Venezuela, enters like professor of geography, social history and sciences at the National Pedagogical Institute of Caracas. As journalist directed the weekly magazine El amigo del hogar, and wrote columns in several newspapers like, El Impulso, El Nacional and El Heraldo. In 1956 moved to Germany, where he gave classes of Hispan-American culture at the University of Hamburg until 1958. Again in Venezuela, from 1974 until 1985, was professor of History of Venezuela at the Simon Bolivar University. Also was Director of the National Academy of History between 1986 and 1995, founding the Departments of Investigation and Publications from 1958 until 1996. Guillermo Moron has been awarded with numerous recognitions, among them, the Municipal Prize of Literature (Narrative mention), in 1987, and the National Prize of Literature in 1990.
