Alejandrina "Nina" Sicilia Hernandez
Alejandrina "Nina" Sicilia Hernandez was the first Venezuelan to hold the Miss International title in 1985. Miss International (officially titled "The International Beauty Pageant") is the fourth largest beauty pageant in the world.
Titles
Nina Sicilia, representing Monagas State in the Miss Venezuela pageant, captured the Miss Elegance title, and placed as a finalist.
Successively Nina went on to compete in the Miss International pageant in Tsukuba (Japan) and won it in 1985.
Life
Her father was an Italian emigrant who struggled to make her a graduate in Accounting, because Nina Sicilia was born partially deaf.
