Sierra Nevada de Lagunas Bravas
Sierra Nevada, also known as Sierra Nevada de Lagunas Bravas, is a volcanic complex which lies in both Chile and Argentina. Some of the complex is of Holocene age, but there is also Pleistocene volcanism evident. The older material is to the east in Argentina. The complex lies in one of the most remote regions of the Andes, making study difficult. It covers a total area of 225 km.
