The first Hungarians who came to Argentina were Jesuits in the 18th century. Most Hungarian immigrants to Argentina came in the first part of the 20th century and after the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Today, there are between 40,000 and 50,000 people of Hungarian descent living in Argentina, mostly in Buenos Aires.
