Isaac Mekler
Isaac Mekler was the leader of the Association of Jews in Peru, as of December 2005.
In November 2005, he called Ollanta Humala "a wolf dressed in sheeps clothing", raising concerns in the countrys small Jewish community about Humala's nationalist and anti-Semitic rhetoric. Mekler claimed that Humala was hiding his anti-Semitism as part of his electoral strategy and that Humala and his brother utilized anti-Semitic language and showed a "deep-rooted hatred toward Jews" at the start of their campaign.
