Camilo Ponce Enriquez (politician)

Camilo Ponce Enriquez was an Ecuadorian political figure. He served as the president of Ecuador between 1956 and 1960. He was married to Maria de las Mercedes de Gangotena Jijon.

In 1951 Camilo Ponce, along with Sixto Duran Ballen founded the Movimiento Social Cristiano (MSC), which would later become the Partido Social Cristiano (PSC). In 1956 Ponce won the presidential elections and named Duran Ballen minister of public works.
