Pedro Lastra
Pedro Lastra is a Chilean poet.
As of 2004, Lastra lives in the New York area. His texts have been translated into English (by Elias Rivers) and into Greek. Juan Maria Solare put music to eleven of his poems.
MADRIGAL
En el sueno invente para ti una cancion:
tus ojos alejaban en ella a la muerte
y tus manos venian
a borrar el celaje de algunas estaciones
sombrias del amor,
un invierno muy frio en el sur.
Huyo de mi en el dia la cancion,
fue hacia ti
que eras la voz amada
de ese coro de sombras.
