Magdalena Island (Spanish: Isla Magdalena) is a small island in the Strait of Magellan, Chile. It is located in Magallanes Region northeast of the regional capital Punta Arenas. The firsts sheeps introduced to Patagonia came to the island from the Falkland Islands in the 1800s. In 1982 it was declared national monument as part of Los Pinguinos Natural Monument.
