Mecha Ortiz
Maria Mercedes Varela Nimo Dominguez Castro de Ortiz (24 September 1900 - 20 October 1987) was a classic Argentine actress who appeared in film between 1937 and 1981. Beginning in 1954 film El Abuelo (1954 film) alongside actors such as Enrique Muino. Her last appearance on film was in 1981 at the age of 81.
Her husband, Julian Ortiz, was a farner in Argentina. Their son, Julian, became a translator and playwright.
Mecha Ortiz had a brother, Jose, a theatre director and a sister, Amanda, an actress.
