It was founded in 1905 by Emilio Morales, an Argentine journalist, as an afternoon (Quinta edicion) and evening (Sexta edicion) newspaper in broadsheet format. After going bankrupt in 1999, it was bought by the Grupo Clarin in 2000. Since then, it was reformatted as a tabloid and is currently being distributed for free in train and subway stations, as well as coffee shops in Buenos Aires.
