Anderson Machado
Anderson Javier Machado [ma-CHA-do] is a shortstop in Major League Baseball playing in the New York Mets organization. From through , Machado has played for the Philadelphia Phillies (2003), Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies (2005).
Machado has soft hands, good range, quick feet and a cannon for an arm. But he has hit the ball very little in the minor leagues, being able to draw 108 walks and yet still find time to strike out 120 times. His speed allows him to run the bases well, and he is adept at taking the extra base.
