Richard Green (soccer)

Richard Green was a Peruvian-American soccer defender who earned one cap with the U.S. national team in a 1-0 win over Poland on August 12, 1973. He replaced Art Martinich at halftime. Green, and most of his team mates, were from the second division American Soccer League after the first division North American Soccer League (NASL) refused to release players for the game. He went on to play for the Chicago Sting of the NASL in 1975 and 1976.
