Zamora River



The Zamora river, is a river located in the south-east of Ecuador, a tributary of the Santiago river.

Known by the Spaniards as Yaya Mayu, by population to shuar found near the river. The water east of the Zamora river is originated in the Podocarpus National Park, specifically of the Knot of Cajanuma; and it supplies from water to the city of Loja. The river crosses the provinces of Loja, Zamora Chinchipe and Morona Santiago where it empties into the Santiago.
