Juan David Garcia Bacca , was a notable Spanish philosopher.
Garcia Bacca studied under the Claretians and became a priest in 1925. He later continued his studies at the University of Munich, University of Zurich and the University of Paris. Yet he separated from the Church during the 30's and studied philosophy at the University of Barcelona. In 1936 he went into exile because of his criticism of Francisco Franco and went first to Ecuador teaching at the Central University of Ecuador (1939-42), then Mexico teaching at the UNAM (1942-46), and finally establishing in Venezuela in 1946 and becoming a ...
