Dr. F. Javier Cevallos is the current president of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, United States. He is the eleventh university president, and has been president since April 25, 2002. Cevallos is also the university's first Hispanic president.
Cevallos was born in Cuenca, Ecuador. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, and his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He taught Spanish at University of Maine, then transferred to the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he became a full professor.
Dr. F. Javier Cevallos has two children, Alex and Caroline, who attend Kutztown Area School District.
