Ximena Duque is a Columbian-born actress who rose to fame after appearing as a contestant on the second season of the Telemundo reality competition Protagonistas de Novela, in which sixteen contestants competed for a chance to win a contract to appear in a Telemundo-directed telenovela. Although Ximena did not win the competition, she has gone on to appear on several telenovelas on major supporting roles including Pecados Ajenos, El Rostro de Analia and Valeria. She, most recently was seen playing the role of Diana Gallardo, Victorino's younger sister in Telemundo's Los Victorinos.
Ximena moved to Miami from Colombia with her mother once her parents separated. In Miami, she went to school and later auditioned for the second season of Protagonistas de Novela, in which she met another aspiring actor of Mexican descent named Christian Carabias with whom she had a child with after their participation on the reality series. They named the baby Christian Jr. Eventually, the two separated but have kept in touch. In fact, Christian played the role of Tony, a villain who is in love with Ximena's character Ana Lucia in the telenovela Valeria. She had moved back to Columbia to film her scenes in Los Victorinos but is now again living in Miami.
