Greater Concepcion
Greater Concepcion (Gran Concepcion) is the second largest conurbation in Chile, after Greater Santiago with 889,725 habitants.
It takes its name from the city of Concepcion, the oldest and most important city of the group.
The agglomeration is composed by:

Chiguayante
San Pedro de la Paz
Hualpen
Penco
Tome
Coronel
Lota
Hualqui
Gran Concepcion also has the second largest concentration of universities in Chile. Besides the Traditional Universities, it has several private institutions. The Universidad de Concepcion is the most important university in the conurbation.
There is a metro system which serves most of the "comunas" in the conurbation: Biotren.
Concepcion has a street dedicated to bar nightlife. It is called "Barrio estacion" due to is proximity to the train station. In this street you will find a lot of places to enjoy yourself and meet some young Chileans.
