Enrique Carreras was a Peruvian-born Argentine film director, screenwriter, and film producer who was known as one of the most prolific film directors in the history of the Cinema of Argentina.
Born in Lima, Carreras directed nearly 100 films in his 40-year career between 1951 and 1991. He directed films such as Asi es la vida in 1977. His daughter is actress Maria Carreras.
