Assassination Tango


Assassination Tango is a 2002 crime film produced and directed by and starring Robert Duvall. It is a thriller based in the steamy side of Argentine tango. Other actors include Ruben Blades, Kathy Baker and Duvall's wife, Luciana Pedraza. Francis Ford Coppola was one of the executive producers; the entire film was shot in Argentina.

In the tango, Duvall finds an amalgam of contradictions, which is what makes it so appealing and also parallels his character in the film. "Tango is sweetness. Some people call it sensual. Plot

Anderson (Duval) is a successful American hitman whose employer sends him to do a job in Argentina. His contacts inform him that his target is a former General. Things are not as easy as they seem and Anderson is brighter than the various double dealers he's working with.
