Cali Underground
Cali Underground is an annual music festival celebrated in Cali, Colombia on the two first days of July, being the first an official day in Colombia. This event meets 32 among the most important underground bands chosen from different backgrounds in the arena of
Teatro al aire libre los Cristales (Los Cristales Open Air Theatre).
History
The first running of this festival was in 2004 with the presence of only a few hundred visitors before a few relatively unknown bands, but at the following year the number of visitors increased to several thousand. Since the quality of the bands was better thanks to the support of the Secretaria de Cultura y Turismo de Santiago de Cali and private enterprises like Parquesoft and Deeplunar the festival drew more visitors and by this way become the most remarkable festival in the region, the last edition reported almost 20,000 visitors.
Such bands as Angelcorpus, Ultimos Romanticos, Astreas Domains, Desdenia, Deadline and Orus have played at this fest.
