Atlantico Department
Atlantico '''' is a department of Colombia. Its capital is Barranquilla.
It is the third smallest of the country's departments, after San Andres y Providencia and Quindio, with an extension of 3,388 km .
It has a population of 2,272,170, which makes it one of the most densely populated departments,
with 670.65 inhabitants per km (1737.1 inh./sq mi).
The department of Atlantico is located in northern Colombia by the Caribbean sea to its north, the Bolivar Department and to the east with the Magdalena Department, separated by the Magdalena River.
