La Florida Airport is an airport in La Serena, Chile. This is the only chilean airport with a runway West-East, because of the shape of the country, most or all are North-South.

On 19th January of 1951 captain Roberto Parrague Singer on his plane "Manu-Tara" took off from La Florida Airport and landed on Hanga Roa,Easter Island the 20th January,achieving the first flight ever to Easter Island..
